IIM Bangalore’s ‘Eximius’ Summit Develops the Spirit of Innovation in Entrepreneurs

Nowadays, it is necessary for the startups to have an exceptional focus on value if wish to build a sustainable business. This explanation was given by Mr. Peyush Bansal, CEO and Founder of Lenskart at Eximius Entrepreneurship Summit organised by Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore . Addressing the gathering, Mr. Bansal indicated that innovation means providing value to the stakeholders.

The summit focused on developing the spirit of innovation in aspiring entrepreneurs across the country. Various events were also a part of the summit including marketing campaigns in flagship events, business plans and other such simulation games.

Various dignitaries and renowned professionals from the industry including Mr. Rajesh Magow, CEO and Co-Founder of MakeMyTrip and Co-Founders of ShopClues, Radhika Agarwal and Sanjay Sethi shared their experiences and learnings.

One of the flagship events of the Summit - Bzzwings witnessed the participation of 11 start-ups. The event was sponsored by Colours Infinity in association with NSRCEL or Nadathur S Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning, an incubation centre of IIM Bangalore.

Another flagship event, ‘The Other Incentive’ focused on supporting and promoting social entrepreneurship. The winning team of the competition presented a business plan based on a mobile-based personalised learning, specifically for children in the age group of 2-8 years.

A competition conducted by ShopClues - ‘Marketing Case’ witnessed tremendous response from over 1,000 teams. The main objective of the programme was to develop competitive skills among the students.

A quiz competition on environmental sustainability, i.e., Wipro Earthian witnessed the participation of 96 teams. The first place was bagged by a team from IIM Bangalore followed by Christ University (second place) and Azim Premji University (third place).
