Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Magadh University (MU). The MoU between IIM Bodh Gaya is an academic collaboration for launching an MBA course in Magadh University. The MoU was signed between the MD Chako, IIM CEO Brigadier and Col Pranav Kumar, MU Registrar.
IIM Bodh Gaya will provide the varsity with academic support that involves the designing of MBA course, curriculum and set up a placement cell and training at the varsity. MU VC, Professor Qamar Ahsan confirmed the same and said that the academic collaboration between the two would focus on improving the university’s profile.

Initially, IIM Bodh Gaya was established in the MU premises. In 2015, the institute was functional from the building of the Directorate of Distance Education. Despite many oppositions, the varsity allotted almost 119 acres of land to IIM Bodh Gaya.
Meanwhile, the state government has decided to construct a new stadium and come up with a new building at a cost of around Rs.12 crore. The construction will be looked after by the Bihar State Educational Infrastructure Development Corporation. The authority will also manage and look after revamping of the existing university buildings. It will also manage and repair the staff quarters at an estimated Rs.5 crore.

Magadh University was established in the year 1962 and is the largest university in the state of Bihar spread in the sprawling land of 460 acres. The university offers a various number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the sectors such as dental sciences, education, social sciences, humanities, law, management and a few others.
