Focusing on entrepreneurship and leadership development qualities, IIM Calcutta has tied up with Amway India, the direct-selling FMCG giant, to conduct a special course. The programme will focus on identifying the potential direct sellers from different segments of the economy. Amway India has already shortlisted 100 direct sellers who had showed performance as well as business excellence over the past few years for the programme.

- Amway India will conduct free training for direct sellers
- Amway India will conduct 18,00 training sessions
- The duration of the course will be of 12 months
Chief Sales officer of Amway, Achinta Banerjee said that they are delighted to partner with IIM Calcutta in their endeavour to conduct the best-in-class training programme on entrepreneurship with practical curriculum & experiential learning. They are also intending to do more such experiential training programs so as to actualize their potential.
IIM Calcutta had last year, in November 2016, launched 1-year post-graduate residential management (PGRHM) programme for healthcare professional and administrators.
The training programme focussed on imparting updated management education to healthcare professionals. The new batch of PGRHM will commence in April 2017. The classes will be conducted online for the same.

IIM Calcutta is one of the leading management institutes of the country and admission to its MBA and PGDM programmes are held through CAT entrance examination.
Also, on the other hand, Amway India announced the company's foray into the premium cookware segment and launched its 'Amway Queen' brand. The company targets INR 100 crore revenue from the new category in this current financial year.
