Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM-C) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) for supporting and energising the start-up ecosystem in Northeast and East India. The aim of the collaboration is to provide incubator and industry with one common platform in a more formal setting.
CEO of IIMC Innovation Park, Mr. Subhrangshu Sanyal said that both IIM Calcutta and Indian Chamber of Commerce would focus on promoting startups. According to him, ICC has a wide range of industry connect which will help them to promote startups.

ICC Director-General, Mr. Rajeev Singh, said that northeastern and eastern part of the country requires a lot of attention for the start-ups to flourish. ICC will provide these startups with a platform to form links with relevant industry and markets. This will help them promote their product and services.
Meanwhile, he also informed that ICC is working on a new program which provides all the key services at a very low cost for the startups. This will include services such as fundraising, legal service, market linkage and others.

At present, IIM Calcutta Innovation Park is incubating over 40 startups. Indian Institute of Management Calcutta is one of the leading management institutes of the country. The institute offers many postgraduate diploma courses in management like PGDM, Executive Programs and others.
