Indian Institute of Management (Indore) is all set to introduce a new certificate programme in the month of August and September fo r MSMEs and family-run businesses.
In order to promote entrepreneurship, IIM Indore will soon be opening an incubation center in its campus.
IIM (Indore) director Rishikesha T Krishnan says that various business houses have enquired about the entrepreneurship and family business certificate programme and because of this, they decided on starting with this certificate programme.
The college is also planning to start with the incubator by the month of September as they want to promote entrepreneurship.
The classes for the course will be conducted on weekends.
Note: This will be offered to the students who have entered the second year of the regular course at the institute and are interested in taking up entrepreneurship.
The Government has drafted a bill, which will be discussed in the forthcoming parliament session, allowing IIMs to give degrees to their students.
This bill solves the difficulties faced by students when they go abroad for jobs as currently, IIM’s are only allowed to provide diplomas to their students.
