IIM Indore Witnesses 3.5% Increase in Female Enrolment for PGP Management Admissions 2019

The number of female candidates IIM Colleges in India across the country has been increasing. One such premier institute is the Indian Institute of Management Indore . The institute has witnessed a 3.5% increase in the total number of female students who have enrolled themselves in the Postgraduate Programme in Management (PGPM) when compared to the enrollments last year.

As per an official from the Indian Institute of Management Indore, the number of female enrolments has increased to 199 students, while the total number of female students in 2018 had been 174. This is a 3.5% increase, from 38.5% in 2018 to 42% in 2019.

The Director of the Indian Institute of Management Indore, Himanshu Rai told sources that the increase in the number of female enrolments is a proud moment for the institute. With such an increase in the total enrolments of female candidates ensures that the college is able to provide the students with comprehensive techniques for teaching various aspects of Management. He also stated that he is proud to witness increasing “gender diversity” in the PGPM courses.

With the increase in the number of women joining the different postgraduate programmes of Management will ensure that gender diversity in the corporate world such as in government, private companies and entrepreneurship career opportunities as well as in the educational institutions as well, the Director further stated.

Along with IIM Indore, the Indian Institute of Management Kashipur has celebrated the increase of female students in their flagship programme of MBA. IIM Kashipur witnessed a whopping 388% increase in the number of female students in this year’s admissions .
