Students of the Indian Institute of Management Indore outshines the rest in various events organized at Red McCombs School of Business, University of Texas, Austin. Students of the Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) took part in the competition and won various prizes, bringing glorifying the premier Indian B-school.

The team from IIM Indore was led by Ayush Khaitan. The students took part in the hackathon event and secured the second position. The students were given the task to come up with a working solution to a problem with the help of existing technology within the time slot allocated to them.
Several students also took part in the IIM Indore/UT Austin Social Media Analytics Challenge 2016. Social Media Analytics is an emerging field that has a lot of scope in various domains of business. It helps the marketer in planning a marketing campaign, predicting poll results and sales forecasting by collecting data from various social media websites such as Twitter and Facebook.
Anjani Kumar Sinha, Akhil Jhingan, Anupam Singh, Himanshu Makkar, Eshana G and Gaurav Tyagi won the first prize in the Social Media Analytics event. The second prize in this event was also won by a team of IIM Indore students including Ankur Jain, Samir Singh, Gourav Arora, Shantanu Roy, Vaibhav Singhal and Vaibhav Agarwal.

The competition was part of the tie-up initiatives started by the two institutes. Students of IIM Indore complete one semester of their EPGP programme at McCombs School of Business, while staying at the University campus.
