Two of the new IIM namely IIM Jammu and IIM Sirmaur will not be conducting Personal Interview rounds for the selection and admission of students to PGP 2017-2019 batches.

Two of the new IIM namely IIM Jammu and IIM Sirmaur will not be conducting Personal Interview rounds for the selection and admission of students to PGP 2017-2019 batches.

Both the IIMs are mentored by the prestigious IIM Lucknow. The institutes have announced their shortlisting process and selection criteria for the batch of 2017. Declaring the admission policies, the institutes made it clear that no interviews will be conducted for admission to the PGP programme this year.

Both the institutes have similar selection procedure and cutoffs. Weightages granted to different components of a candidate’s academic profile are also same. Admission offers will be sent to selected students in the last week of May 2017. Check the sectional and overall CAT 2016 cut-off for IIM Jammu and IIM Sirmaur below.

Even though both the institutes will not be conducting Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds, other academic factors will be closely analyzed for admission to the PGP batch 2017-19. There are various components that will be judged for admission apart from the CAT 2016 score. These components include performance in class 10 and 12 board exams, aggregate in graduation, work experience and diversity. Check out the weightage given to these components.
