Three IIMs have successfully joined the UG education club. As per the reports, IIM Jammu , IIM Ranchi and IIM Udaipur have decided to offer an IPM or Integrated Programme in Management. The course will stretch for the duration of 5 years and will provide a golden opportunity to the students of high school. Through the programme, deserving students will be picked and trained for 5 years of blended business education that will include levels from undergraduate to postgraduate. The course will end with a prestigious MBA degree.
The Integrated Programme in Management will not require the candidates to appear for highly competitive tests such as CAT , XAT , MAT , ATMA or CMAT for the postgraduate bit of the course, however, NTA is likely to conduct an introductory version of the entrance exam for the IPM programme.
The director of IIM Ranchi addressed the topic and said that initially they advertised to shortlist the deserving candidates through IPMAT and SAT exam, but soon NTA made a decision to hold a nationwide exam for the undergraduate level students. He further added that they would consider the scores acquired in the NTA organised exam as well to admit the candidates.

IIM Indore was the first B-School to offer an IPM course. The programme is a synthesis of undergraduate programmes like sociology, philosophy, political science, computer programming, statistics, economics, languages, music and theatre. The institute will also award a BA in Foundations of Management to the graduates.
Himanshu Rai, the director of IIM Indore said that students at the UG level require a holistic foundation to prepare them with a mix of various elements like arts and science, life skills, philosophy and technology and analytical skills.
