IIM Kozhikode organised the Annual Management Conclave, ‘Horizons 2020’. The event was organised from February 1st to February 2nd 2020 with the theme “Above and Beyond”. ‘Horizons 2020’ was coordinated by IIMK's Industry Interaction Cell (IIC) and was attended by speakers from various backgrounds who shared their perspectives and experiences with the leading B-School students and faculty members.
Director of IIM Kozhikode, Prof. Debashis Chatterjee said that they believe in providing students with the best possible opportunities to test their business acumen through live projects in different fields. It enables them to have the first-hand experience of business issues faced by organisations.
The Interaction Cell of Industry (IIC) is committed to establishing a long-term relationship between the institution and industry, along with handling all the non-placement industry-related activities at IIM Kozhikode. The Interaction Cell of Industry (IIC) also connects IIM Kozhikode to the outside world. This edition of the' Horizons' saw the presence of Mr Mahesh Bhupathi, the Indian tennis legend.

The former ATP Rank 1 along with the 12 time Grand Slam Winner shared incidents from their life while representing the country. They also shared their success story. The athlete turned entrepreneur emphasised upon the need for the country to cultivate a strong culture of the sport. The ATP world record holder said that "India needs a strong top-down funnel for the development of world-class sports talent. Private sports foundations can play a significant role in the development of world-class athletes”.
The afternoon session of the event hosted Mr Mahendra Pratap Mall, the Managing Director and Chairman of the Indian Railway Catering Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) Limited. In his interaction with the students, Mr. Mall spoke about the company's future road map and the hurdles that have been overcome. He also added that students will face challenges and it’s their job to deal with them. He further shared his experience while managing the state-owned enterprises and returning a healthy profit growth year after year

The final speaker session was managed by the Director of Policy at the International Centre for Research on Women (ICRW), Ms Subhalakshmi Nandi. He discussed the social and economic aspects of caste-based discrimination and gender.
