IIM Kozhikode conducted the induction ceremony for the 7th batch of the Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) in Management, Kochi Campus, for 2019 – 2021 for working executives at Athulya Auditorium, Infopark Kakkanad on January 26, 2020.
The Kochi campus was established in 2013 and it’s inauguration was done by the then Chief Minister of Kerala. The current batch has 85 participants with a diverse mix out of which 35% are from IT and IT related industries, 6% are from Operations and Service Industries and 2.4% are from Banking and Finance industries. The reputed companies which the participants represent are Cognizant, Amazon, Tata Consultancy Services, Axis Bank Ltd, Infosys to name a few.

Director of IIMK, Prof. Debashis Chatterjee said that IIMK is known for attracting the best of national talent and IIMK leads people to their ultimate human potential by rekindling the fire within them to bring about changes in the nation and society. He also highlighted the need to have an increased participation of women in the work force as women have a different way of dealing with or tackling problems and addressing challenges.

The induction commenced with an introduction to EPGP by Prof. Priya Nair Rajeev, Chairperson (EPGP). She emphasised upon the importance of life long learning by collaborating management concepts with applications. Prof. C Raju, Dean (Extension Programs), mentioned about the improvements in the program over the years and encouraged the participants to make use of the maximum campus facilites in an effective manner. The program ended with a vote of thanks by Associate Professor at IIMK, Abhilash S. Nair.
