IIM Kozhikode (Indian Institute of Management) has planned to launch a course in Maritime Management soon. The course will be highly relevant to the aspirants in the region as Kozhikode has historically been a coastal and seafaring city. Director of IIM Kozhikode, Debashis Chatterjee revealed that the premier institute is planning to enhance the quality and volume of executive education, elevate it and deliver the same as a different model.
Apart from launching a new course in Maritime Management, IIM Kozhikode is planning to enhance the international linkages and to attract talented, experienced and skilled international faculty . The premier management institute will work closely with the government of Kerala towards strengthening its governance efficiency, effectiveness and development of welfare programmes.

Both IIM Kozhikode and Kerala government will work closely with medium and small enterprises with a motive to turn them around and re-engineer.
Debashis Chatterjee assumed the Charge as the Director of IIM Kozhikode for the second time. During his previous tenure from 2009 to 2014, he undertook numerous developmental activities in the premier institute and played a vital role in transforming the institute into an institute of national impact and global reckoning. He also created history by enrolling 54% women in postgraduate management programme . The initiatives of Debashis Chatterjee enhanced the gender diversity in the classrooms of IIM Kozhikode.

IIM Kozhikode can expect more development and global repute under the leadership of Debashis Chatterjee again.
