A new postgraduate programme has been released by the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM-K) . The programme is a management-based programme that has been designed to train and educate potential business leaders. IIM-K aims to offer the course to the experienced executives who aspire to grab the top positions in their companies. The programme is a one-year, residential programme that will be offered to the interested candidates.
The current Director of IIM-K Prof Debashis Chatterjee states that a need for such a programme has risen keeping in mind the changes that are taking place in the current scenario of the industry. He adds that they are aiming at systematically developing and shaping the experienced minds in the field of management into leaders who are not only grounded in core values but are also multi-dimensional, authentic and capable as potential future leaders. He added that the faculty will focus on going beyond the usual pedagogy methods of teaching, in order to create such leaders.
Officials from IIM-K have also stated that the programme will include a new and innovative admission process along with an exclusive pedagogy and curriculum, specifically designed for the course. This will help in providing a diversified perspective as well as developing growth with comprehensive inputs.

Prof Chatterjee continues to state that they have compiled apt content as their curriculum, however, he says that the highlight of the programme is the fact that the will provide learning methods that are aimed at developing and bringing the innate leadership potential that the candidates hold, along with different reflective and personalised learning approach, he adds.

The programme will include various components that will assist in the holistic development of the potential candidates with the help of in-class as well as off-campus activities that are focused on providing the backup that these candidates will require. Online submission for the programme ends on 15th August 2019.
