The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) has concluded the Summer Placement season for the inaugural batch of its PGP Liberal Studies and Management and PGP in Finance courses, and the 24th batch of its Post Graduate Programme (PGP).
It has reported 100% placements for what was the largest batch of placements by Day 3 of Recruitment Week, which has helped abate fears of a bad placement season amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
144 recruiters participated in the Summer Placement season 2020 at IIMK and provided internship offers to 541 students. The highest stipend reported from the institute was Rs. 3.2 lakhs and the average stipend was around Rs. 1.88 lakhs.
The institute also shared data regarding the median stipend offered during the placements, which was Rs. 2 lakhs and the top 50 per cent students bagged an average stipend of Rs. 2.6 lakhs, thus concluding the season.

Prof. Debashish Chatterjee, the Director of IIMK, announced the successful completion of Summer Placement season. He pointed out that the institute was able to secure a broad array of offers even amidst a pandemic, which he said was the hallmark of a top B-School.
He also shared his appreciation for the faculty and students who were able to make use of the virtual placement drive and worked for the seamless transition of their recruiting partners on the virtual platform.
Dr. Omkumar Krishnana, the Placements Chairperson at IIMK, thanked their recruiters for showing confidence in IIMK's talent pool and the alumni for their constant support for the institute.
