More weightage will now be given to PI than CAT score according to the new admission policy at IIM Kozhikode.
IIM Kozhikode Updates Admission Policy 2017- 2019

The admission policy for PGP course 2017-19 at the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode has been further revised by the institute. For the 2017 academic session, the institute has decided to give more importance to the Aggregate Index Score. The cut-off percentage has been decided at 90 out of which Aggregate Index score has 75% weightage.

Also, significant importance while selecting a candidate will now be given to the Personal Interview (PI) rounds. Some of the other rounds which are a part of the selection procedure are Group Discussion (GD) rounds.

Candidates belonging to different categories will have to qualify according to the following cut-offs:

After getting shortlisted according to the above-mentioned cut-off, they will then have to have to sit for two more rounds to secure a seat at the IIM Kozhikode.

Stage 1:

Shortlisting for Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT)

In order to get shortlisted, the AIS or Aggregate Index Score of the candidate will be calculated on the basis of his/ her CAT 2016 performance, SSC and HSC scores, Graduation score, work experience, and academic/ gender diversity.

Further, the weightage given to the GD/ PI/ WAT rounds is as follows:

Component Maximum Weight
CAT Score 35%
GD/WAT 15%
Personal Interview 45%
Work Experience 5%

The names of the shortlisted candidates will be declared on January 2017. Candidates can look for the same on the official website of IIM Kozhikode.

Final merit list will be announced in the last week of April/ first week of May 2017.
