IIM Raipur Organises Awareness Programme on Digital Initiatives

IIM Raipur’s Analytics and Systems Club conducted an hour and a half session on ‘Digital Initiatives of Indian Government and its Uses’ at Government High School, Sejbahar. The main objective of the awareness programme is to make students gain a detailed insight on how India is progressing towards the digital world. The session focused on advantages of digital initiatives taken by the Indian government. Through the session, students were trained on various digital initiatives and its usage. After the session, students understood that digital initiatives have made the life of individuals easy and flexible.

The awareness programme covered all the following digital initiatives of Indian Government: -

• MyGov BharatNet
• Swacchbharat Mobile App
• E-Sign Framework
• Digilocker
• E-Hospital
• National Scholarship Portal

The session also enabled the students to understand the functioning of common service centres through which Indian students can register for various digital schemes and avail benefits. The awareness programme or session on digital initiatives witnessed the participation of 70 students from Class 11 and Class 12.

During the sessions, students were also given in-depth knowledge of the process to store documents digitally on a Government application, book their appointments and view medical reports online. Students gained knowledge on the process of reporting cleanliness complaints through Swacchbharat App. The explanation on digital initiatives was made through demonstration and short videos. Later, students interacted with the demonstrators and got their doubts clarified. The awareness programme received a positive feedback from teachers.
