With a total of 254 students, the 8th Convocation ceremony was held in Indian Institute of Management - IIM Rohtak . On 24th March, students from Post Graduate Program and Fellowship Program in Management got their degrees.
The institute also gave medals to students for exceptional performance. Prakhar Chabbra, Rajat Jain and Akshay Malik was awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively for being exceptional and an all-rounder in their studies and as well as extracurricular activities. Chairman of Union Public Service Commission of India (UPSC) Arvind Saxena graced the ceremony and was the honoured chief guest.
Dheeraj Sharma, IIM Rohtak's director informed that IIM Rohtak reached 100% placement record for the batch of Post Graduate Program (PGP).
He also informed that the admission of female students in IIM Rohtak has been increased by three to four times which is a step towards gender equality. With the 7th largest batch of PGP and 100% placement record, Sharma highlighted that it is a major achievement of the institute.

Sharma said IIM Rohtak has introduced a few courses from the current academic year postgraduate programmes for working professionals, executive postgraduate diploma in sports management and executive fellow programme in management which are getting a lot of attention.
While addressing the convocating students, Arvind Saxena, Chairman of UGC said that money can not be the ultimate goal in life. The ultimate goal of life is judged by the impact a person has managed to achieve through his/her work.
