IIM-V has launched a three-day leadership programme on February 5, 2020 for IOCL managers. The programme includes online assignments and projects for the particpants.
The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIM-V has launched a leadership programme on February 5, 2020 for the key managerial people of the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL). IIM-V Director, Prof M Chandrashekhar said the programme will have online assignments and projects. Classes will be held in the mornings and the sessions in the afternoons will be utilised for completing live projects. Post the completion of the three-day programme, IIM-V will give an extension for completing the assignments and projects. The second round of the training programme for IOCL will take place in March. Many regional managers, senior managers and deputy managers from across India will participate in the training programme.

Chandrashekhar also said that IIM-V will hold two management training programmes for the faculty of government and government-aided engineering colleges in March. IIM-V has already organised three such events. The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam began its Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Management from August 2015. IIM Visakhapatnam was initially running out of the campus of Andhra University.

The temporary campus of IIM Visakhapatnam has classroms designed according to the Harvard Business School model because the teaching methodology is case-study based. It is known for having world-class infrastructure and has faculty from some of the top-notch institutes such as IIMs, IITs and foreign universities. The instiute also has a 100 percent placement record for the PGP 2016-18 batch. Also, the International Immersion Programme in PGP is designed to give students an insight into the economic, social and cultural spheres of the emerging economies.
