IIM Vizag summer placements have seen a hike of 75% in the highest stipend for 2023. The median and average packages also showed an increase of 28.83% and 19.33% respectively as compared to the previous season.
The MBA Summer Placements 2023 of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Visakhapatnam records rise by 75% in stipend in comparison to last year. The MBA 2023 batch witnessed the highest stipend with INR 3.5 Lakh for a two-month internship. The average stipend offered was INR 57,000.
As per the Career Development Services (CDS), of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), the summer placement drive was a success with 100% placements amidst the ongoing pandemic challenges.

IIM- Visakhapatnam Summer Placements 2023: Participating Recruiters
Recruiters from various domains and sectors participated in the 2023 summer placement drive at IIM Visakhapatnam. Candidates were offered jobs from various sectors. The Information Technology, ITES, and accounting sectors hired 27% of the total candidates. Also, the Banking, Finance Services, and Insurance sectors offered 22 % of the total jobs. Further, the Consulting and Manufacturing sectors offered 12% and 10% of the jobs at the IIM Visakhapatnam Summer Placements 2023. The EdTech sector also offered 10% and the E-Commerce sector offered about 5% of the candidates during the placement drive.
IIM- Visakhapatnam Summer Placements 2023: Placement Statistics
During the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Visakhapatnam Summer Placements 2021, the highest salary offered to a candidate was INR 31.60 Lakhs. The growth rate of the offered salary packages to the candidates was increased by 51.78%.
During the placement drive, the average and median salary offered also saw a remarkable hike. The average salary offered stood at INR 15.06 Lakhs and the median salary offered during the IIM Visakhapatnam Summer Placement 2023 stood at INR 15.46 Lakhs. The average salary offered saw a rise of 19.33% in comparison to previous years. And the median salary packages offered saw a rise of 28.83%. The Director of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Visakhapatnam, M Chandrasekhar, and the Chairperson of CDS, Deepika Gupta congratulated the candidates on their achievements.
