The director of the Indian Institute of Management-Visakhapatnam (IIMV) discussed academic collaboration between EFLU and IIMV with Professsor E. Suresh Kumar, the VC of English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU). Once things are finalised, EFLU will offer short-term, part-time and diploma profiency courses in English and foreign languages to management students at IIMV whereas IIMV will offer short-term management courses to EFLU students. Possibilities of blending scholarly and academic ties with faculty and the students was also discussed. Prof. Kumar also mentioned about EFLU’s expertise in English Language Teaching (ELT), English Language Edition (ELE), teacher training and other proficiency courses offered by the university. There has been an agreement regarding an MoU between the two institutes, and it is likely to be done soon.

EFLU, located in Hyderabad is the only such university which is focused on languages in South Asia. It offers courses in english and foreign languages such as Chinese, Arabic, German, French, Italian, Russian, Korean, Japanese, Turkish and Persian in the fields of literature, teacher education, interdisciplinary and cultural studies. It is one of the oldest campuses with 7 schools and 26 departments which offer graduate, research and postgraduate courses. It also has PG diplomas and part-time and distance courses.

IIM Vizag is situated in Visakhapatnam and began the first batch of its PGP in management from August 2015. The classrooms of the temporary campus of IIM Vizag are designed as per the Harvard Business School model because it follows case-study based teaching methodology.
