IIMC Entrance Dates Announced

The dates for Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) entrance exams are out. IIMC has announced the dates for entrance exams of all the PG Diploma courses in English and Hindi journalism, Radio and TV journalism, Advertising and PR relations and Odia journalism for the academic year 2016-17.

Eligibility criteria:

• Graduate in any discipline, students appearing for their final year examinations can also appear for the entrance test, showing their final year mark sheet/provisional certificate by August 31, 2016.

Age limit:

General category: Date of birth should be August 1, 1991 or later.

SC/ST/handicapped students: Date of birth should be August 1, 1986 or later.

OBC candidates: Date of birth should be August 1, 1988 or later.

Selection procedure:

• Written exam
• Interview.

Important dates:

• Last date for sale and receipt of application forms - May 6, 2016
• The entrance examination for PG diploma courses in Hindi/English journalism (9 am to 11 am), Radio and TV journalism (12noon to 2 pm), Advertising and Public relations (3 pm to 5 pm) - May 29, 2016.
• The entrance examination for Odia journalism (9 am to 11 am)- May 30, 2016.
• Interview dates: Last week of June/first week of July 2016
• Academic session begins: Last week of July/first week of August 2016.
