Phase 2 of the training and mentoring of principals and vice-principals of CBSE affiliated schools will take place in April-May, 2020. The training will be given by the three IIMs- IIM Ranchi, IIM Amritsar and IIM Sambalpur. These three Indian institutes of Management will offer training in academic leadership skills to the school heads of higher secondary and secondary CBSE affiliated schools.

The training programme of IIM-CBSE was first announced in December 2019. Different areas such as leadership challenges for education in the 21st century, team building, pedagogical perspectives and building high-performance culture, stress and time management are likely to be covered as a part of these programmes. The Board will shortlist the candidates and send the nominations to IIMs and all the participants who are selected can transfer the programme fee to the concerned IIMs directly. IIM CBSE Academic Leadership Skills Training Notification
The principals and vice-principals of the secondary and senior secondary schools which are affiliated to CBSE can apply in the prescribed form as per the information mentioned in the notification. The link for applying to the programme is there on the CBSE website. The batch size for training is 35 for each venue, and the registrations will close once the numbers are met. The training schedule and venue details have been released by the IIMs on the website.

The focus of the programme will be on various issues which the principals and teachers have to handle in the day-to-day functioning of their schools, IIM Amritsar mentioned.
