Due to the ongoing coronavirus lockdown in the nation, various organisations have resorted to online courses via digital platform so that students get to complete their education or upskill. Apart from the courses on MHRD’s digital learning platforms, students can also enrol for the IIRS-ISRO Outreach Programme which is conducted through live classroom sessions and has e-learning based online courses. Students can enrol online for the same and get a certificate after the completion of the course.
The courses are available for free or have a nominal fee if a student wants to get a certificate. The Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) has conducted more than such courses so far with more than 46,590 participants from over 600 academic institutes, government departments and industry. The learning is done through interactive 2D and 3D animations, audio, video for practical demonstration, software operations with free data application. This helps make it more interactive and learner-centric infused with practical examples of real-world issues.
