Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) has released the schedule for admissions in the academic session of 2017. IISER carries out the admission process in three different categories, i.e., JEE Advanced 2017 , State or Centre Board (SCB) and Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY).
IISER Eligibility Criterion for State and Centre Board (SCB): -
- All the applicants of various programmes at IISER must have passed Class 12 examination.
- Candidates pursuing Class 12 may also apply.
- 55% of marks in Class 12 board exams is required for the candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
- 60% of marks in Class 12 board examinations is mandatory for the candidates belonging to OBC (non-creamy).
- Candidates belonging to General Category must have a score more than the prescribed cut-off mark in the board examination.

IISER Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced Stream 2017: -
- A candidate must have passed in Class 12 to seek admission.
- The candidates are eligible to seek admission only if they secure a rank within 10,000 in the JEE Advanced Examination 2017.
