IISER Kolkata Announces Ph.D. Admissions 2017

Kolkata-based Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) announces admission notification for its Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programmes for the academic session 2017

The programmes being offered are:

• Biological Sciences
• Earth Sciences
• Chemical Sciences
• Mathematical and Statistics
• Physical Sciences

Eligibility Criteria for IISER 2017:

Those candidates applying for Biological Science programme must be holding MS/MSc /ME/M./MTech /MSc (Ag) degree. They must have minimum 55 per cent marks in any branch of biological sciences in one of the fields like cellular and molecular biology, structural biology, plant molecular biology, cancer biology, developmental biology, marine biology, behavioral biology and ecology, neurobiology, biodiversity, bioinformatics, microbiology, biophysics, biotechnology and theoretical biology.

Candidates from Nutritional Science and Agricultural Science backgrounds may also apply to pursue research in the interdisciplinary research areas.

Candidates interested in applying for Earth Sciences programme must have completed their MS /MSc/ MTech/ MSc Tech with minimum 55 per cent marks in Geology/ Geophysics/ Applied Geology/ Earth Sciences/ Marine Geology/ or any other branch of Geological Sciences.

Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Biological Sciences/ Environmental Sciences/ Computational Seismology/ Engineering/ Remote Sensing and GIS.
