IISER Kolkata Integrated PhD Program: The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Kolkata is welcoming applications for admission into the institute's Integrated PhD Programme for the Autumn 2022 session. Interested and eligible applicant may apply for this programme from April 04, 2022 to May 13, 2022 at www.apply.iiserkol.ac.in.
IISER Kolkata's Integrated PhD Program consists of two years of Masters-level curriculum followed by four years dedicated to PhD research. Candidates must note that there is no option to opt out in between from the programme with a Master's degree. The candidate must complete the entire course to receive the respective certifications.
IISER Kolkata Integrated PhD Program Eligibility Criteria
Degree Qualification
- Students can apply for IISER Integrated PhD Program in Biological Sciences, Earth Sciences, and Physical Sciences if they have a B.Sc./ B.E./ B.Tech./ M.B.B.S. or an equivalent degree from any government-recognised university, institute, or college with a minimum of 60% or equivalent aggregate score if the candidate has no Honours/Major subjects. If the candidate does have a Honours/Major subject, they must score 60% or equivalent in that respective subject/course.
- Candidates appearing in the final year of the above-mentioned degrees are also eligible if the marks obtained by them are 60% or equivalent(aggregate) in the undergraduate exams held until the date of the submission of the application.
Aptitude Test Qualification
Applicants must have qualified the following aptitude tests in 2022:
- For Biological Sciences: JAM Biotechnology/ JGEEBILS
- For Earth Sciences: (i) JAM Geology, (ii) JAM Chemistry for Research in Environmental Science, or (iii) JAM Physics for Research in Computational Mineralogy
- For Physical Sciences: JAM Physics/ JEST (Physics)

IISER Kolkata Integrated PhD Program: Required Subject Combination at UG Level
Applicants are needed to have taken the following combination of subjects in their undergraduate courses:

For the candidates who do not have Mathematics in Class 12 or equivalent, they must have done a certified course in Mathematics and/or Statistics at the UG level. |
