A B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering girl student from IIT Bhubaneswar - R. Likhita Sharma has bagged an offer from Adobe with an outstanding annual salary package of Rs. 39 lakh. It is the highest package offered to any student of IIT Bhubaneswar till date. It is interesting to note that IIT Bhubaneswar has only 9% girl students on its campus.
Director of IIT Bhubaneswar, Mr. RV Rajakumar revealed that the students from the premier engineering institute bagged the highest package of Rs. 38 lakh in 2016 and Rs. 34 lakh in 2017. At present, the campus placement process at IIT Bhubaneswar is underway, he added.

Commenting on the achievement, Likhita expressed that she was surprised to learn that she had bagged the highest package ever at the institute. The salary package of Rs. 39 lakh per annum was beyond her expectations. Hard work is the key source to excel in one's career, she quoted.
Another girl student and three boys from IIT Bhubaneswar were selected by Goldman Sachs with an annual salary of Rs. 31.5 lakh. The average annual salary offered by the company was Rs. 10.3 lakh. Seven students from Materials and Metallurgical Engineering secured jobs in Vedanta and Deloitte.

This year, over 50% of students were selected by various companies with an annual package of Rs. 20 lakh. A total number of 35 companies participated in the campus hiring so far. Out of 151 B.Tech pass-outs registered for placements, 129 have already bagged jobs. The placement process at the premier institute will continue until the last week of March.
