Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar (IIT Bhubaneswar), popularly known as IIT-BHU will launch new M.Tech courses next year. These courses were proposed earlier in the year 2015 but were only approved by the IIT Senate this year in the month of May. Following the approval, a faculty member team was also formed. The newly launched courses include:
- M.Tech in Networking
- M.Tech in Cyber Security
- M.Tech in Forensic Sciences

Eligibility for New M.Tech Courses Offered by IIT Bhubaneswar: -
- The interested applicants must have a valid GATE score.
- Students who are pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science or B.Tech in Information Technology can also register for any of the three courses.
- Students who register for these courses will be also be considered for fellowships provided by MHRD or Ministry of Human Resource and Development.

Students pursuing final year B.Tech course in Computer Science and associated branches will be given the option to select any one of the three electives including Forensic Sciences, Cyber Security and Networking.
An official associated with IIT Bhubaneswar revealed that the objective behind launching these courses is to provide adequate workforce in the field of cyber security and cyber forensics. The faculty members who have been selected for delivering the courses will be trained on various topics relating to networking and cybersecurity.
