Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay has released a list of companies which have been blacklisted by the Institute from campus placements. These companies are under blacklist for one year. The spokesperson of IIT Bombay, Mr. Falguni Benerjee said that these companies delayed joining dates and the job offers by two of these companies are found fake.

LeGrade Burnett Group did not provide genuine job offers to the students. IndusInsight and LexInnova delayed the joining dates given for the students. Similarly, Pepper Tap and online pharmacy player Portea Medical were also blacklisted for revoking job offers.
The list which consists of the names of nine companies is not final, and more companies will follow based on the future responses. It is the first time for a reputed institute like IIT Bombay to publish a list of blacklisted companies.

The Institute has been reviewing the issue for the past two months regarding job offers by these nine companies. The issue was discussed in the national level conclave of all IITs across the country. Currently, the other IITs are also planning to bring out the list of blacklisted companies which did not realise their placement commitments.
