IIT Delhi Collaborates with five CSIR Laboratories to Promote Cooperative Research

The Indian Institute of Technology - IIT Delhi has signed an MoU with 5 CSIR Labs for promoting the collaborative quest of Knowledge in Cross-Disciplinary Sectors.

IIT Delhi Collaborates with five CSIR Laboratories to Promote Cooperative Research

The Indian Institute of Technology - IIT Delhi has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 5 CSIR (Centre for Scientific and Industrial Research) Laboratories to conduct Cooperative research projects. The five laboratories are Central Scientific Instruments organisation, Advanced materials and processes Research Institute, Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology, Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute and National Physical Laboratory of India.

On 16th July, The MoU was signed by Prof V. Ramgopal Rao, the Director of IIT Delhi with the five directors of the respective CSIR Laboratories.

Prof. V Ramgopal Rao, the IIT Delhi director said that IIT Delhi has been pioneering in providing its students and faculties with the favourable environment and world-class infrastructure for researches. The IIT Delhi also conducts collaborative projects with scientists of other institutes. The Institute is planning to initiate about 60 research projects of inter-disciplinary nature in the 5 laboratories of CSIR.

Apart from the collaborative research, the Indian Institute of Technology - IIT Delhi is looking forward to promoting the exchange of ideas, enhancing high-quality research through output and development of knowledge.

The initiative will give the students, faculties and researchers a platform to actively take part in the projects and shape the development of the nation by fuelling its scientific growth. The research projects initiated through this MoU will make the best utilisation of previously existing Infrastructure, expertise and enormous experience of IIT Delhi and also the participating CSIR laboratories.
