The placements at IIT Delhi will begin on December 1, 2017.
Among the recruiting companies at IIT Delhi placements this year, Uber is expected to offer an attractive package of Rs. 36.6 lakh per annum for software developer role. Last year, Zomato and Flipkart were blacklisted from the placements, as they failed to send the appointment letters or delayed joining dates. After a year's gap, these two companies will be back at IIT Delhi placements.
The companies that will be visiting the campus for recruiting students have already registered on the official website or portal of IIT Delhi. The website accepts applications from companies that can offer attractive salaries to students.
Many companies are looking for coding-intensive profiles like data scientists or software developers. However, Flipkart is also offering jobs for the post of assistant managers. IT students who have been studying Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence for the past four years at IIT Delhi will get chances to grab jobs in coding-intensive roles. Among the most attractive offers, assistant manager role in Flipkart with CTC of Rs. 24 lakh might witness more competition.
For first phase placements, the companies can register on the official portal of IIT Delhi until November 20, 2017. This year, more start-ups are expected to take part in placements. ‘Start-Up Day’ will be conducted on the fourth or fifth day of placements so that these organisations can come together to recruit students. In all, 100 companies are in the race to hire IIT Delhi graduates.
