IIT Delhi to Host 12th ‘TechTop National Innovation Challenge’ in July 2017

Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi will host the 12th TechTop National innovation Challenge on July 14 & 15, 2017. The event will take place on the premises of IIT Delhi, and the winners will receive a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000.

The main objective of the competition is to enable students to present innovative project ideas. IIT Delhi has invited students from all the recognized engineering colleges of the country to take part in the challenge.

The candidates who secure second and third place will be awarded Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 30,000 respectively. On the other hand, best innovation from an all-women team will receive a cash prize of Rs. 20,000.

One of the officials of the organizing committee explained that interested students have to apply for the competition on or before March 5, 2017. The students have to fill an online application form through the official website of TechTop Charitable Trust.

One of the officials of TechTop Charitable Trust explained that they had been organizing the National Innovation Challenge for the past 11 years. The main aim of holding the challenge is to make India a birthplace for many scientific innovations. He further added that the best innovation project, which will be useful to society, will win a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000.

Students who are interested in applying for the National Innovation Challenge must remember that they need to give a description of their idea/ project/ innovation in the online application form. The candidates need to attach charts or sketches of their project separately.
