Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati introduced the Samsung Digital Academy Programme on December 11. This was done along with the launch of the Samsung Digital Academy at the campus.
The course will be 14-week long which will be taught through assignments, classroom lectures, self-study, lab room sessions along with extensive tuitions and documents, said the institute in a statement.
The course curriculum for the same includes Embedded Systems (ES), Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT). The same has been designed to make the students get hands-on experience and ready for jobs.

Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal claimed that the programme will help in making Assam a key player in the development of technology for the next generation. It will also make the state a destination for digital skill development.
Samsung and IIT Guwahati partnership will roll out sustainable employment options in the state. The initiative will bridge the gap between academics and industry and make way for more collaborations in the future.

Professor T.G. Sitharam, Director of IIT Guwahati said that the collaboration with Samsung India will provide advanced education and innovation to the students of the institute. This will get them more technical opportunities for development and academic excellence.
Kiho Kim, Managing Director of Samsung Research and Development Institute commented that generation technology is the field that we are looking forward to working on. Also, we want to take part in the development of research in IoT through the Samsung Innovation Labs network under the Samsung Digital Academy program.
