Recently in the city Bangalore, an International Indian Innovation Fair (III-Fair) was conducted and a lot of reputed colleges participated in it. The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) students presented four projects in the fair and won medals for three of them. Following students were part of the medal winning team:
- Akshay Ramesh Jadhav
- Balasubramanyam Appina
- Neagin N S
- Pavan Mantripragada
Following are the projects that won the medals:
- Snake-like Articulated Robot Platform (SARP) - It is a robot whose job is to reach places to where humans cannot go to help them.
- Interference-Free Communication using Cloud RAN - It is a 5 GB prototype which promises an interference-free communication between base station and user equipment using Cloud Radio Access Network (CRAN) architecture
- An Eye for Quality: Multimedia Quality Assessment - It is an automatic visual quality estimator to enhance the visual quality of multimedia content.

The medals to the team of IITH were given in the presence of Professor A S Rao who is the Chairman of III-Fair.

The students were very proud of the research projects that they presented and they also thanked their faculty members and director for their constant support. They also said that without the motivation from the staff they would not have been able to do this.
