IIT Hyderabad to Conduct Five-Day Certificate Course on Business Analytics

Considering and recognising the significance of business analytics as a discipline and the shortage of trained, skilled and qualified data scientists in the country, the CSE (Computer Science Engineering) Department of Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad is all set to conduct a five-day Certificate course on Business Analytics using R. The course is specifically designed for working professionals and this short duration course will commence from December 21, 2017.

In this short duration course, the participants will learn fraud detection, forecasting and prediction, time analysis and techniques for market segmentation.

Associate Process at Department of Computer Science (IIT Hyderabad), Professor Sobhan Babu indicated that leading business organisations and governments are relying on Big Data Analytics/ Business Analytics techniques to compete and thrive. However, there is a wide shortage of skilled and qualified data scientists, who are able to extract knowledge from Big Data. Business Analytics/ Big Data Analytics is a significant discipline that is changing our lives drastically. Today, this domain is associated with every area of human society from health care to banking, he highlighted.
