The start-ups incubated by IIT Hyderabad (Indian Institute of Technology) have made an outstanding impact by developing healthcare technologies. These technologies in the healthcare sector aim to save infant lives and help bed-bound individuals.
The start-up that developed a product to save infants suffering from physiological jaundice is Heamac Healthcare Private Limited . Another start-up incubated by IIT Hyderabad, i.e., Kavayat Medical developed a product on faecal management system with a motive to assist bed-bound individuals.

IIT Hyderabad’s Centre for Healthcare Entrepreneurship (CfHE) organised the second graduation Pitch Day on August 01, 2018. The second batch of fellows graduating from IIT Hyderabad CfHE were a part of the two start-ups. Pitch Day was a unique platform for these fellows to pitch their ideas before the jury. The healthcare technologies developed by the two start-ups received grand appreciation from the jury members as well as institution.
Both Heamac Healthcare and Kavayat Medical have been rigorously involved in lengthy clinical immersions for a few months in leading hospitals across the city. The students involved in these start-ups observed and assessed the unmet needs in the medical fraternity. Their observations motivated them to come up with two unique products in the field of healthcare.

Director of IIT Hyderabad, Professor UB Desai appreciated the two start-ups and technologies developed by them. He expressed that it was the proud moment for the premier institute, as the start-ups incubated by it will have a huge impact on the society.
