IIT JAM first admission list 2024 was released yesterday on the official website. The authority has released the first admission list in the form of opening and closing rank.

The authority has released the college-wise and category-wise admission list in the form of opening rank and closing rank for all the IITs. Based on the choices entered by the candidates and on their merit, the authority has released the IIT JAM first admission list. Candidates, who have been allotted a seat should accept the seat and pay the seat booking fees for the first admission list on or before June 4, 2024, if they are satisfied with the allotment.

If the candidates are satisfied with the IIT JAM first-round seat allotment, then they should select the “Accept and Freeze” option and pay the required amount on or before June 4, 2024 (post that no further request will be accepted). In such a case, the candidates would not like to upgrade their higher preferences in the subsequent rounds.
On the other hand, if the candidates are not satisfied with the allotment and want to upgrade their seats, then they should choose the “Accept with Upgrade” option in the subsequent rounds. Note, that the IIT JAM second admission list will be released on June 12, 2024.
Also, if the candidates are not willing to continue the process, then they should choose the “Reject and Quit” option. For the same, the candidates will receive a “One Time Password” on the registered mobile number. To confirm the decision, the candidates should enter the OTP.
