The Government of Tripura has roped in the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT K) for preparing a data bank of all the schools that are run and aided by the state. This step is being taken by the Tripura government as a part of its efforts for monitoring the education system in the state.
The data bank will consist of information on the status of the teachers, the non-teaching staff, and the implementation of government programmes in all the primary and secondary schools. An official provided this piece of information and said that this data bank will be the key to improving the overall infrastructure of education.

The whole project of making a comprehensive data bank of all the state-aided and state-run schools of Tripura that will be undertaken by IIT Kanpur is named ‘Data Science Solution’. It will be borne by some private companies under their activities of corporate social responsibility (CSR). This was told by an official of the education department of Tripura.
The official explained the details of the data bank that will be formed and said that an officer of high rank or a minister will be able to access this data bank online. This project has been implemented in Jharkhand and the results have proven it to be successful. It is now making its way to some other states as well like Bihar.
