Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT-Kgp) has collaborated with Pepperdine University (United States) for technological knowledge exchange. The collaboration with this reputed global university will help IIT Kharagpur boost its entrepreneurship initiative. Coordinator of the programme, Dr. P K Dan referred to the latest PitchBook report on top and popular universities across the world producing VC-backed entrepreneurship. Pepperdine University MBA ranks in the list of top 25 universities. Popular universities across the globe like Stanford, MIT and Harvard are also listed in the top 25. These collaborative initiatives will be beneficial to students, he added.

Director of IIT Kharagpur, Professor Partha Pratim Chakrabarti met the US-based team recently and urged them to prepare a roadmap for constant collaborative activities.
A faculty member at Pepperdine University, Professor Larry Cox organised a workshop on entrepreneurship promotion along with his workmates at Entrepreneurship Institute Inc a few days ago. RMSoEE (Rajendra Mishra School of Engineering Entrepreneurship) at IIT Kharagpur also played a vital role in the workshop while focusing on rapid prototyping, reverse forward engineering and product engineering.
A lead of the Research Park Project, Professor Partha Pratim Das mentioned that these workshops are forerunners to the future activities of the research park.

Expressing his views on this significant collaboration, Professor Larry Cox stated that Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management is privileged and delighted to collaborate with RMSoEE of IIT Kharagpur. The partnership will consolidate Pepperdine’s educational offerings with regard to technology entrepreneurship. The world-class technical expertise of the two institutes will produce supreme student-based businesses in Pepperdine and IIT Kharagpur.
