The IIT, Kharagpur is going an extra mile to bring a positive difference in this world. The Indian Institute of Technology has decided to launch a certificate course on Science behind Happiness. This unorthodox course will be launched soon and this is being introduced with an aim to make a happy eco- system. The course will involve an extensive research on the topic and will find a solution to questions like how to maintain a happy and positive outlook.

The course will be provided by the Rekhi Centre of Excellence for the Science of Happiness, micro-credit will be given against this course. The happiness centre is the creation of Satinder Singh Rekhi, an IIT Kharagpur alumni who will be the chairman of the course. The course will be offered from this autumn semester only.

Satinder Singh Rekhi said that this initiative will help bring a positive change in the society and it will not be limited to the college only. Director of IIT, Kharagpur have a lot of expectations from this course and believes that this course will help students manage their emotions and will also help them be psychologically positive.
Following aspects will be explored:
- Research on happiness
- Exploring positivity
- Positive psychology and related concepts
- Maintenance of a happy eco-system
When the students go out they will take the positive attitude with them which can bring a revolution.
