IIT Madras and NIOT Conduct OCEANS 2022

OCEANS 2022 is being organized by the IIT Madaras and NIOT on 22 February 2022. The events will include sessions like plenary sessions, workshops, student poster sessions, government licensing sessions, etc. 

IIT Madaras and NIOT Conducts OCEANS 2022

Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT) and the National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) has organized the OCEANS 2022 on 22 February 2022. The event will be inaugurated by Madhu Nair, the chairman and MD of Cochin Shipyard Limited. The OCEANS 2022 will be held at the D7 Auditorium of IIT Madaras Research Park Tarmani.

The NIOT Director G A Ramadass, IIT Madaras Director V Kamakoti, IIT Research Park Cheif Executive Ashok Jhunjhunwala, and IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society Chairman, will be attending the event. Around 800 people from universities, commercial enterprises, and government agencies are anticipated to participate in the event.

OCEANS is a bi-annual conference of marine researchers, technicians, engineers, students, and policymakers from across the world. For four days, scholars and industry experts meet to highlight, discuss, and share essential subjects and current developments in marine technologies.

The event will include plenary sessions, student poster sessions, student Hackathon, workshops, tutorials, government listening sessions, etc. Adding to that, there will be 30+ exhibitors displaying the most recent advancements in goods and services from across the world.
