IIT Madras launches 7 Courses in Sports Science (Image Credits: Pexels)IIT Madras Launches 7 Courses in Sports Science: The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras has introduced Seven courses in the Sports Science domain for interested applicants. The institute has announced that JEE Main 2024 scores are not required to pursue any of these courses. IIT Madras will commence the first batch of these online courses at the NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) portal on February 19, 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can enrol on these courses free of cost, according to the announcement by IIT. Check the complete list of courses and the steps to apply below.

According to the institute, these courses will be conducted to act as an interface between theoretical and practical education in the Sports Science domain. All of the courses are designed considering the Asian and South-Indian body structure of work.
The candidates can opt for as many courses on the official website of NPTEL at nptel.ac.in .
While sharing the features and advantages of these courses, Prof Andrew Thangaraj, coordinator, NPTEL, IIT Madras, envisioned these courses to be a game-changer which will address India-centric needs. He also said that there is a high demand for skill-based courses in Sports Science that the institute has focused on.
The eligibility for these courses starts as low as Class 12th being the minimum qualification required. Interested candidates can register for any of these courses at nptel.ac.in/courses .
According to IIT-M, these courses are relevant to the students pursuing any of the bachelor's or master's courses in Sports Science.
