Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) is all set to collaborate with two industry partners for research in Magnetic Nanoparticles and Artificial Intelligence-based products. To develop magnetic nanoparticles-based products, IIT Madras has joined hands with MagGenome Technologies along with advanced nucleic acid extraction kits development. The Artificial Intelligence-based software products will be developed by the Institute in association with BUDDI Healthcare Technologies. The software products will be developed for the Healthcare Industry.
A Chennai based Nanotechnology startup MagGenome Technologies is known for the development of magnetic nanoparticles-based technologies for application in engineering, pharmaceutical, chemical and life science industries.
Along with MagGenome Technologies, IIT-M is also expected to shift its attention towards the application of magnetic nanoparticles in the coming days that will assist tremendously in areas such as environmental remediation, therapeutics and diagnostics. This collaboration will be headed by Professor D Karunagaran of IIT Madras’ Department of Biotechnology.
