IIT Madras Startup 'GUVI' Begins Online Programming Courses

An IIT Madras startup, GUVI is looking at building a new comprehensive online platform to help engineering students from rural areas to solve the abstract coding concepts and improve their problem-solving skills. This will provide a platform for students to learn various kinds of coding languages including C++, Python, and some other regional languages such as Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

A community conference was held at IIT Madras where they discussed rolling out opportunities for the tier-2 and tier-3 city students to enable students to learn the coding languages. GUVI’s co-founder SP Balamurugan said that many recruiters expect the students to be well-versed with the programming skills and have good problem-solving skills. With the online platform they are planning to build, students will get access to data structure algorithms and latest web technologies. Leading recruiters such as Ionix, Linarc, Chargebee, GoFrugal, Scapic, Juspay and Infinity Software Solution among others were a part of the conference.
