HOD of Mathematics at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-Madras), M. Thamban Nair will be receiving the B.K. Master Memorial National Higher Educator Excellence Award 2016.
The award has instituted in memory of Uduma Educational Trust Founder-Director and the late B.K. Mohammad Kunhi, for his contribution to higher and professional education.
The award is being presented to Dr Nair by P. Karunakaran MP. Dr Nair, who also hails from Uduma.

About IIT Madras
IIT Madras is one of the leading public engineering and research institutes of India and was founded in 1959. IIT Madras was recognised as an Institute of National Importance by the GOI and is the third IIT that was established by the Government of India through an Act of the Parliament to boost the research facilities in engineering and technology.

Time Period : Second week of January and is the first ISO certified student festival in the world

Time Period : Early January. Saarang is the largest student-run fest in India, attracting a whopping 70,000 students and young people from across India!
