Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee held its convocation ceremony for all the graduating students who have completed all the requirements and meet the eligibility requirements for the award of degree for the 2017-18 academic year. The convocation ceremony took place on 6th and 7th October 2018 at the IIT Roorkee campus itself.
The IIT Roorkee convocation ceremony 2018 was attended by many eminent personalities and degrees were awarded to undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. students.
The guest of honour for the event was Professor Subra Suresh, President of Nanyang Technology University (NTU) Singapore.

The degrees along with the annual progress report were awarded to the students by Prof. Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi, IIT Director. The annual progress report had all the information regarding the research work and other activities undertaken by the institute in the 2017-18 academic year.

As per the sources, the institute awarded 949 undergraduate, 785 postgraduate and 292 Ph.D. degrees to the students during the ceremony.
