DRIP has been assisting rehabilitation of over 225 dams across seven states which are experiencing different levels of distress. Technical support is required to carry out the investigation of dam conditions and support rehabilitation efforts.
The MoU will lay major emphasis on consolidating the testing laboratories, developing and enhancing analytical capabilities. The MoU will provide high scope for exposure visits to renowned global institutes and on ground exposure to dam concerns to the faculty of these global institutes.
CWC has already collaborated and signed MoUs with NIT Calicut, IISc Bengaluru, IIT Madras and NIT Rourkela with a motive to support these institutes to procure specified software and equipment for developing their testing and modelling capabilities.
