IIT Tirupati , which has been functioning from a temporary campus since its inception, is all set to shift to its permanent campus located at Pangaru Village, Yerpedu. The 500-acre new campus of IIT Tirupati has advanced facilities and infrastructure. Further, the premier engineering institute has also increased its intake from 120 to 180. Apart from that, it has launched new M.Tech courses that will be introduced from the upcoming academic session (2018-19).
M.Tech Courses Introduced by IIT Tirupati:
- M.Tech in Computer Science Engineering
- M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- M.Tech in Electrical Engineering
Apart from the above-mentioned courses, IIT Tirupati has also introduced a new B.Tech course in Chemical Engineering .

Director of IIT Tirupati, KN Satyanarayana expressed his satisfaction over the progress that the institute has achieved in the past few years. At present, there are 75 top and experienced faculty members at IIT Tirupati, he added.
Apart from the classrooms and infrastructure facilities, the new campus has laboratories and hostels. The construction of the new campus has been done using GFRG (Glass Fibre Reinforced Gypsum) panel technology.

IIT Tirupati had commenced its academic operations in March 2015 with 105 students enrolled in electrical, computer science, civil and mechanical engineering courses. In the first year, IIT Tirupati offered only 30 seats in each course.
Classes for some of the courses will continue at the old campus as the construction of permanent campus is at final phase. From next year or in 2020, classes for all the course offered at IIT Tirupati will be conducted at the permanent campus.
