The Indian Medical Association (IMA) wrote a letter to Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya for rescheduling the NEET-PG examination, which was scheduled to be conducted on May 21, 2022. IMA pointed out that NEET PG 2021 was commenced 5 months after the scheduled exam date in September 2021. Correspondingly, the counselling was started in January 2021, instead of the scheduled counselling date (October 25, 2021). Due to the pending decision on seat reservations, the NEET PG counselling 2021 was delayed to start. Apart from that the Supreme Court ruling of March 31, 2022, led to the cancellation of the Special Round of Counselling for the Mop-Up session.
