The school of law at IMS University organised a national seminar on the third gender rights and emerging trends and issues.There were many guests like the guest of honour was Shabnam Bano, the chief guest Dr B.S Verma along with the vice chancellor and dean of the school of law, this seminar was a treat to watch as every student participated and all had different perspectives to put up.
The guest of honour was overwhelmed to see the love and respect that the university towards her. She said that transgenders should be loved and treated equally like other human beings.
There were two technical sessions on the first day 45 research papers were presented and on the 2nd day there were 3 technical sessions and 60 research papers were presented and a lot of questions were put up which made the session interactive and educative.
Eminent personalities participated here in the seminar and shared their views some of them were hon'ble Shri V.K Maheshwari vice chairman Uttarakhand public services tribunal, Mr Tanveer Alum Khan, senior advocate, Uttarakhand high court etc all of them informed the students about the laws and rights of the third gender.
Sessions like these help students to broaden their mentality and expand their box of knowledge which is a must for any university, institute or college.
